Frequently Asked Questions

Where are you based and how can I see your work in person?

I’m currently based in New Jersey, USA. My studio hours are by appointment only, but if you’d like to schedule something, emailinfo@amirarahim.com prior to your visit to set up a time.

How long does it take for me to receive my artwork?

Thank you for your recent purchase. Each painting and print is carefully packaged and requires time for drying, varnishing, and in some cases framing. Please allow up to 2-3 weeks for domestic orders and 3-4 weeks for international orders to arrive.

Do you ship overseas?

Yes, I do. I ship worldwide including United Kingdom, Australia, etc. Please allow up to 3-4 weeks for international orders to arrive.

How are shipping costs determined?

Shipping costs are determined based on the price, dimensions, and weight of the artwork(s) purchased, as well as the shipping destination. Shipping costs include packaging and handling. Please note that artwork may be subject to duties, taxes and/or fees according to your country’s regulations. Please consult your local customs office for more details about duties and taxes. For a shipping cost estimate, please contact me at info@amirarahim.com.

How will my large artwork be shipped to me?

I work with qualified art framers in my local town. They handle my artwork with the utmost care and will package your painting safely. Large paintings are removed from the wooden bars and rolled in a tube. Any good framer can re-stretch the canvas for you, or if you are really handy, you could do it yourself.

Do you do commissions?

Yes, I do! For commission information, click here.

Is there a way I can preview what a painting would look like in my house?

Yes! I know how important seeing a painting in your space is. Simply email info@amirarahim.com a picture of your blank wall. Be sure to capture it with bright and even lighting. I will then place the painting on your wall digitally and send it back for you to check out.

What type of materials do you use and how do you finish your paintings?

Most of my work is created using acrylic and water based media. I occasionally include oil pastels, oil paints, and other mixed media as a part of my process. Canvas originals and some works on paper are varnished (a liquid sealant) to protect your painting from dust and light. For works on paper, framing behind a glass is best for protection and preservation.

I own a gallery or store and I'd like to carry your work.

Thank you for your interest! Please feel free to contact me for enquiries about representation, licensing, or wholesale opportunities—emailinfo@amirarahim.com.

Do you work with interior designers?

Yes, I’m happy to create custom paintings in any size to suit you and your client's vision. For a consultation to discuss your requirements, please email me at  info@amirarahim.com.

What type of prints do you offer?

I offer giclée prints on canvas. The canvas material is a beautiful upgrade on a typical paper print. It does not rip, and has a textural quality that mirrors the exact canvas I paint on. Many times people can't tell the difference from an original!

I also offer stretched canvas prints. These are canvas prints adhered to 1" wooden stretcher bars ready for you to pop on your wall.

How do I care for my print?

Prints should be framed as soon as possible to avoid damage. For stretched canvas prints, keep them away from water and direct sunlight.

Returns?

All sales are final. Exceptions are made in case of any damage incurred during shipping. If this happens, please contact me within 7 days of receiving your artwork.
